Why Dasuki Won’t Be Released – FG

The Federal Government on Thursday said the embattled former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) was still being held in custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, because he poses great threat to national security.

Federal Government’s lawyer, T.D. Kabiru made the explanation while arguing against the release of the former NSA at the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, court, Abuja.

Kabiru alleged that the amount of illegal weapons recovered from Dasuki’s Abuja home and the intelligence report at the disposal of the nation’s security agencies has it that more arms and ammunitions have not being recovered, this he said justified
Dasuki’s continued detention.
The embattled former NSA had dragged the Federal Government before the court, challenging his continued detention by the DSS despite being granted bail by several courts.

But Kabiru in his argument said, “The position of the defence, which is not controverted by the applicant, is that the arms and ammunition recovered during the search is not the only arms and ammunition in the possession of the applicant.

“There is fear that he has more. There is intelligence report that some are yet to be recovered. That we fear he has more is a ground to hold him. There are on-going investigations which are revealing fresh facts concerning him.

“The right of an individual cannot supersede the security of a country when there is intelligence report to suspect the conduct of the individual. The applicant did not deny that these guns were recovered from his house.

President Buhari’s Speech After Receiving Rescued Chibok Girl ‘Amina Ali’ at Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari today received the rescued Chibok girl at the state house in company of her parent and the Borno state governor, Ibrahim Shettima.

Read:
“Like all Nigerians and many others around the world, I am delighted at the news that Amina Ali Nkeki, one of the missing Chibok girls has regained her freedom. But my feelings are tinged with deep sadness at the horrors the young girl has had to go through at such an early stage in her life.

Although we cannot do anything to reverse the horrors of her past, federal government can and will do everything possible to ensure that the rest of her life takes a completely different course. Amina will receive the best care that the Nigerian government can afford. We will ensure that she gets the best medical, psychological, emotional and whatever other care she requires to make a full recovery and be reintegrated fully into society.

Yesterday, medical personnel from Government and other NGOs examined her for a total of about five hours. Trauma experts from the UNICEF also met her. The Federal Government will assist Murtala Muhammed Foundation, which has already been providing support to the families of the missing Chibok girls and which runs a trauma and counselling centre in Kano, will also be involved in ongoing work with Amina, monitoring her progress and highlighting any additional support she requires.

The continuation of Amina’s education, so abruptly disrupted, will definitely be a priority of the federal government. Amina must be enabled to go back to school. No girl in Nigeria should be put through the brutality of forced marriage. Every girl has the right to an education and a life choice.
Rest assured that this administration will continue to do all it can to rescue the remaining Chibok girls who are still in Boko Haram captivity. Amina’s rescue gives us new hope, and offers a unique opportunity for vital information.

Finally Adewale Ayuba convert to christian

Adewale Ayuba Dumps Islam For Christianity. Adewale Ayuba, a renowned Fuji music artiste, is not only a born-again Christian but claims the day he decided to follow Jesus Christ remains the happiest day of his entire life. His words: “I will not lie to you. When I remember the day I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, I am happy, the day I became a born again, that was my happiest day. Now I realise this life is to worship God,” “It’s what brought me to Fuji music. I don’t know. I remember I had a lot of Islamic clerics who came to pray for me and when they left, I would still go to my room to read the Bible. “I think my conviction was in the Bible. It got to a stage that my children would be laughing. They would say, ‘Daddy, choose one’. But I did not want to pick like you said, because of Fuji. It has Islamic origin, my background, how would my family feel? “I didn’t want to offend this; I didn’t want to offend that but I discovered that religion or belief has nothing to do with your musical life and no one says we are listening to your music because of your personal life or so.”
